Career Transition / Outplacement is the process of providing advice, guidance and support to individuals who leave employers and are faced with the challenge of taking up a new employment. Logistics Recruitment conducts a range of Career Transition Programs and tailors each to suit individual needs. Three levels of programs are available and are detailed below. Trained consultants delivering the programs ensure individuals are equipped with skills to re-enter the workforce with renewed energy and enthusiasm, self-knowledge and defined goals. Grant Strachan is the Senior Consultant for Career Transition. He has extensive practical experience gained over 15 years recruiting and providing career transition services to many top Australian companies and has a successful track record in helping individuals achieve their goals. Career Transition Programs are conducted at our Nationwide offices. The aim of each Program is to assist individuals to assess all options and either return to the workforce or choose other alternatives
Program Options
Level 1 - Senior Executives Duration 3 to 6 months

Initial consultation with clients to assess and advise on the most effective strategy to finish individuals and provide details on responsibilities of line managers.

Each individual will receive a comprehensive Career Transition Guide which contains essential tools. Four contact sessions are provided. If required, further sessions can be made available to provide further support.

The Senior Executive Program includes the following:

Dealing with the emotional issues associated with redundancy/termination

Assistance in preparation of a professional and comprehensive resume

Assistance in formulation of realistic short and longer term goals

Advice as to adopting a strategy to best achieve goals

On-line behavioural assessment and in-depth results debrief to assess personal strengths and weaknesses

Professional job interview and general communication technique improvement training.

Identification of employment opportunities in accordance with the experience of each individual, including accessing the “hidden” job market.

Thorough grounding in the various proven methods for obtaining new employment

Continuing support and advice via phone and Email.
Level 2 – Middle Management Duration 2 to 3 months
This program comprises four sessions and provides the executive with a Career Transition Guide and the skills necessary to undertake a successful career transition. It contains similar elements to the senior executive program carried out over a shorter time period.
Level 3 – Support Team Employees Duration 4 to 6 weeks
This program comprises three sessions. It is an abbreviated version of the middle management program and provides the employee with a Career Transition Manual and the skills necessary to undertake a successful career transition. Ongoing telephone support is included in this Program.
